Presentation Title: Smart Database Development With PL/SQL & Oracle Rest Data Services
Speaker: Mr Gert Poel
Company: Contribute
Co-presenter:
Presentation abstract: With JavaScript these days as a front-end development language to build lightweight applications, the demand for a performant back-end is bigger than ever.

So why not use the database where it is made for: storing and delivering data as fast is possible.

In this presentation we will show how to build a back-end following the Thick Database Paradigm.

Data is stored in the Oracle database, guarded by constraints and business rules in the database.

By exposing the back-end functionality as REST services with Oracle Rest Data Services(ORDS), you can start building a JavaScript application based on a performant back-end.
